Toilet Repair and Installation
How we assess a toilet repair or replacement.

A toilet that runs, leaks or backs up can involve the fixture, its connections or the drain beyond it. We identify the problem before recommending parts or a new toilet.
Describe the symptom and where water appears.
Tell us whether water keeps running into the bowl, appears at a supply connection or collects near the base. Mention whether the toilet was recently installed or moved.
A weak flush or backup may need drainage assessment rather than a replacement toilet. Tell us whether other nearby fixtures are also affected.
Compare a serviceable repair with replacement.
An available compatible fill valve, flush component or seal may allow a repair. A damaged fixture or unsuitable installation may lead to replacement. We inspect the condition and explain the option.
If you want a different model, its dimensions, drain position, clearance and connection requirements need checking. Send the model information before purchase if you want to confirm fit.
Include the connections and access in your quote.
Your quote should identify the fixture or parts, removal and installation work, and any additional supply or drain connection work. A hidden condition at the mounting area can change your service scope.
Clarify any floor repair or finish restoration required. That is different from simply setting a new fixture in place.
Check operation after the work.
We check the serviced fixture and accessible connections. If drainage remains restricted beyond the toilet, we explain the finding and the next investigation.
Use our plumbing service page to request help. For several backing-up fixtures, describe that history so we can assess the shared drainage as well.
