We inspect the condition before recommending work on an older drain.

If you have an earlier inspection or recurring blockage history, share it when you call. The age of your home does not establish the condition of every pipe, and roots or deposits need an inspection before a repair method is chosen.

If your home is on septic, we pump your tank and look at what the pumping shows before anyone recommends a repair. If several drains back up together, a drain clearing and our camera show whether the problem is in your line or your system.

If your home is on sewer and its line is cracked or full of roots, lining can repair it from inside when your pipe is suitable. When your street converts to sewer, the new connection is a separate job, and we explain how it relates to your existing line.

Before work starts in Miami Shores

Miami Shores is moving homes from septic to sewer.

These facts come from the Village of Miami Shores and the State of Florida. The Village and the State issue the permits; we pump, inspect and repair the pipes on your property.

  1. 01

Thousands of Miami Shores properties still use septic tanks.

In a 2023 state funding request, the Village estimated that more than 4,000 homes and businesses were on septic tanks. Pumping your tank and inspecting your drain lines tell you the condition of your system before a conversion reaches your street.

  2. 02

Shores Estates connects to North Miami’s sewer.

The Village’s Shores Estates conversion ties homes into the City of North Miami’s wastewater system. Owners get one year to connect once the new sewer is in service and should not start before the Village gives formal notice. A lateral connection cannot be moved once it is installed, so tell us where your line leaves your house before yours is placed.

  3. 03

Abandoning a septic tank takes its own permit.

Under the Village’s process, building and plumbing permits go through Miami Shores, while abandoning a septic tank goes through the Florida Department of Health’s Miami-Dade office. State law requires a permit before any septic system is repaired, modified or abandoned. Tell us where your home stands, and we explain which part of the job is ours.

Trenchless lining in Miami Shores

Here is how we line a sewer under a Miami Shores home.

Lining repairs a drain or sewer line that is cracked, scaled or full of roots but still holds its shape. If your home is on septic, we start with your tank and explain what pumping shows.

  1. Step 1 of 4

We look inside your older drain first.

Through an access point in your home, our camera shows the roots, scale and cracks in your accessible line, so your repair matches what we find rather than the age of your house.

  2. Step 2 of 4

We descale and clean your pipe.

A chain descaler and water clear scale and roots from your pipe wall, so the liner has clean pipe to bond to.

  3. Step 3 of 4

We wet out and install your liner.

Our crew saturates the liner with resin, places it in your cleaned pipe and cures it against the old wall.

  4. Step 4 of 4

We show you the bends and joints we lined.

Our final camera run follows your lined pipe through its bends and joints, and we go over the recording with you.

Questions from Miami Shores

What Miami Shores owners ask before they call.

When do I have to connect to the new sewer in Miami Shores?

In the Shores Estates conversion, owners have one year to connect once the Village puts the new sewer in service, and should wait for the Village’s formal notice before starting. We can pump and inspect your current system in the meantime.

Which permits does a septic-to-sewer connection need?

Building and plumbing permits go through the Village of Miami Shores, and the septic abandonment goes through the Florida Department of Health’s Miami-Dade office. Ask the Village which steps apply to your street.

Can you line the sewer line at my Miami Shores home?

If your home already drains to a sewer and its pipe is suitable, yes. We inspect your line on camera first and explain whether lining or another repair fits its condition.

Describe the problem and we will tell you whether it needs a camera inspection, a cleaning or a repair. We explain our proposed work and price before you approve it, and financing is available on every repair we do.

See what decides your price

You approve your price in writing before we begin your repair. Here is what affects it:

  • Your pipe’s condition decides how much cleaning comes first.
  • The length and size of your line set the equipment and materials.
  • Your access point changes the setup.
  • The repair method follows what we find.
  • A shared building line is quoted differently from a household line.
