For a condominium or managed building, tell us who coordinates entry, which units are affected and whether there are restrictions on work hours. For a house, describe the affected fixtures and any known outdoor access.

In a condominium or apartment building, one backup can involve a shared stack or a branch that serves several units. We trace which drains are affected before we clear anything, and we record the line with our camera when the problem returns.

If the damaged section can be lined from inside, trenchless lining can reduce the openings in your building’s floors and walls. We tell you which openings your repair still needs before it is scheduled.

Before work starts in Miami

These City of Miami rules can change your sewer repair.

They come from the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County. The agencies decide each permit and connection; we inspect, clean and repair the pipes on your property and tell you which rules your repair touches.

  1. 01

Miami-Dade Water and Sewer runs the public sewer in Miami.

The City transferred its water and sewer system to Miami-Dade County in 1975, so a problem in the public main belongs to the county’s Water and Sewer Department. If the backup is in your building’s own line, our camera shows where it is.

  2. 02

Work in the street or sidewalk needs a City permit.

The City requires a contractor to register with its Resilience and Public Works department before applying for any utility or street closure permit. If your repair reaches the right-of-way, that permit is part of your schedule, so we identify it before your work is booked.

Trenchless lining in Miami

We line Miami building sewers from the inside in four steps.

In a condominium or managed building, one damaged section can serve many units. Your building’s layout, access and pipe condition decide whether lining fits; we confirm that before any work is scheduled.

  1. Step 1 of 4

We trace the line that serves your units.

We run our camera through the accessible line and note which stacks, branches and units connect to the damaged section, so our work plan names every fixture your repair affects.

  2. Step 2 of 4

We clean your pipe from its cleanout.

Hydrojetting washes grease and loosened debris from your pipe wall so the liner meets clean pipe. We tell your building contact which drains stay out of use while we work.

  3. Step 3 of 4

We line the damaged section, risers included.

We place a resin-saturated liner in your cleaned pipe and cure it against the existing wall. In a building, that can include the vertical risers between floors when their condition and access allow it.

  4. Step 4 of 4

We reopen your branch connections and record the result.

We reopen each branch connection inside the new liner, run our camera through the finished section and go over the recording with you.

Questions from Miami

What Miami owners ask before they call.

Is a backup in my Miami condo my problem or the building’s?

That depends on where the blockage is. Tell us which units and fixtures are affected. Our camera shows whether the restriction is in your unit’s branch or a shared line, and your association decides how shared repairs are handled.

Who do I call if the sewer main in my street backs up?

The public sewer in the City of Miami belongs to the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, so report a problem in the street main to the county at 3-1-1. If only your building backs up, call us and we inspect your own line.

Does a sewer repair in the right-of-way need a permit?

Yes. The City of Miami requires a registered contractor and a Public Works permit for utility work in the street or sidewalk. If your repair reaches the right-of-way, we identify that permit before your work is scheduled.

Describe the problem and we will tell you whether it needs a camera inspection, a cleaning or a repair. We explain our proposed work and price before you approve it, and financing is available on every repair we do.

See what decides your price

You approve your price in writing before we begin your repair. Here is what affects it:

  • Your pipe’s condition decides how much cleaning comes first.
  • The length and size of your line set the equipment and materials.
  • Your access point changes the setup.
  • The repair method follows what we find.
  • A shared building line is quoted differently from a household line.
