A drip, loose handle or planned fixture upgrade starts with the existing installation. Before buying a replacement, identify the model, connections and space available.
Find out whether the existing fixture is repairable.
A cartridge, seal or accessible connection can sometimes be serviced when the fixture body remains suitable and compatible parts are available. A damaged body or unavailable part may make replacement the practical option.
A symptom does not identify the failed part on its own. Tell us where water appears, whether the problem is constant and what has recently changed.
Check compatibility before purchasing.
A new faucet must suit the mounting holes, available clearance and supply connections. A shower trim kit must be compatible with the valve behind the wall. Similar appearance does not establish a direct fit.
Send the product model or specification and a photo of your current fixture. We can identify which compatibility questions need checking before installation.
Account for access and finish work.
A connection under an open cabinet and a valve behind tile involve different access. Worn shutoffs or corroded supply connections may add work, so ask which items are included before approving the job.
If an opening is required, clarify who restores the surrounding wall, tile or cabinet. Product warranty and installation coverage should also be distinguished.
Confirm the installation checks.
The completed work should include checking operation and accessible connections for leaks. Ask how to use and maintain the selected fixture according to its manufacturer instructions.
Our fixture service page explains the visit. You can request help with the symptoms or model information you already have.
